GOD DON'T MAKE NO JUNK.

Updated: Oct 15, 2021

What do you think of yourself?

What do you see?

How do you see yourself?

I hope our answers are full of compliments and not words of destruction.

Today's fitness has us looking like everyone else instead of ourselves. Fitness drives us to do the same as EVERYONE else. But what we fail to realize is our Father in Heaven created us to be different. He knew us before we were in our mother's womb, and while we were there, He knit us beautifully. This earth and all that's in it is His creation. God's workmanship goes beyond words; nothing can compare! So if we believe God's creation of this earth is beautiful, shouldn't we think the same for ourselves?

When I was a little girl, my mommy bought me this shirt that I took pride in. The wording on that shirt said, "I know I'm special 'cause God don't make NO JUNK!" I believed it, and I walked in it.. I wasn't always optimistic when it came to my appearance, but every time I felt the vibe of negativity throwing dirt on God's creation, the wording on that shirt reminded me of who my creator is.

Today, I welcome you to believe that about yourself as you embark on this consistent journey. Believe God makes no junk, nor does He make any mistakes. God made us beautifully and wonderfully. He knew us before we knew ourselves. Let's not allow this world to set our minds on what fitness or your physical appearance should be. But allow God to change the way we think about it while learning His will, which is good, perfect, and pleasing in His sight.

Trust that you will lose the "un-wanted" weight, gain confidence, and look better than ever because you chased His will instead of the world. And always know that you are forever fearfully and wonderfully made!

Reflection: Seek after God's will for your fitness and nutrition journey. Ask Him what's He wants you to do? How He wants you to move? Inquire God in every decision.

I AM (fill in the blank) 'CAUSE GOD DON'T MAKE NOT JUNK!

Scriptures:

Proverbs 3:5 (NLT)

(5) Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. (6) Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Psalms 139:13-14 (NIV)

(13) For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. (14) I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Romans 12:2 (NLT)

(2) Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
